The Project

Purpose-built for university students, Enso Colchester is a brand-new student development by UK fund manager Moorfield Group, which lies close to the University of Essex Colchester Campus.

The site formerly supported a light industrial warehouse and was cleared before purchase, leaving a blank canvas for development of the site.  The new accommodation, which has leading sustainability credentials, boasts over eight storeys providing 282 student bedrooms of various styles, from ensuite bedrooms to deluxe studios.  Common areas are thoughtfully designed to promote community and include an on-site gym, games room, study spaces, laundrette, lounges and a landscaped courtyard.

James Gregory of PBC’s Development Monitoring Team was appointed to act on behalf of the lender during the project, with the works due to complete in time to welcome students for the 23/24 academic year.
