PBC’s Building Consultancy Team was appointed to provide Contract Administration services for the refurbishment of the office entrance and ground floor reception of 19-21 Old Bond Street. The work included a high-end refurbishment of the reception area, main staircase and lifts, incorporating bespoke architectural detailing and lighting.
PBC managed the design team, which included interior designers and the building services consultant. PBC developed tender and contract documentation, and managed approvals for very intricate contractor-designed elements.
Throughout the refurbishment project, access had to be maintained for staff using the only entrance to the offices, and noise had to be kept to a minimum. This required very prescriptive sequencing of work to mitigate any disruption to staff and visitors.
The project was completed on time and to budget, and the building’s users now have a new, contemporary and refined welcome to the building.
