The Project

61 Queen Street occupies a prominent site on the junction of Queen Street and Upper Thames Street in the heart of the City of London. The building is within close walking distance of Cannon Street, Bank and Mansion House rail and underground stations.

PBC Scope

Following the comprehensive £1 million refurbishment of the building to CAT A specification, PBC’s Building Consultancy team was appointed to develop two floors in the property to provide speculative CAT B accommodation, ready for immediate occupation by tenant’s looking for a “plug-and-play” office solution. PBC designed new layouts for the 3,800 sq. ft of office accommodation over second and fifth floors, to provide meeting rooms, data and communications infrastructure, beautifully appointed quartz topped tea points and a full complement of furnishing.  The work, which took 4 weeks, was carried out while the rest of the building was occupied, so noise and disruption had to be kept to a minimum, and access for other tenants maintained at all times.
