About the project
PBC successfully acts as retained lead consultant and contract administrator for the refurbishment of retail units on Chiltern Street, a highly popular shopping destination in Marylebone. On tenant vacation, works commence on transforming outdated commercial units into a modern, high‑performing white box space ready for future occupation.
Works involve full strip‑out, followed by comprehensive upgrades to building infrastructure. New utility connections, mechanical and electrical services, track lighting and an MVHR system are coordinated to bring the space up to current standards. Basement areas are fully waterproofed and fire safety ensured through compartmentation and fire alarm installation.
Where required significant access and structural enhancements are undertaken including modifications to the staircase opening and installation of a new staircase. Externally, the buildings benefit from a new insulated flat roofing systems, refurbished sash windows and new secondary glazing; improving both performance and comfort while retaining the building’s character.
