The Project

PBC are appointed by Columbia Threadneedle as Project Manager and Employer’s Agent for this office refurbishment project.

PBC Scope

The refurbishment consists of a complicated cut and carve project. The property consists of two buildings linked at the basement level. The front building is five storeys high and the rear three. The project includes the refurbishment of both the buildings to a CAT A specification including re-roofing, new windows, lifts, front entrance curtain walling, central plant and linking the two buildings via a glazed link at ground floor level. Due to the reduced floor to ceiling heights the client opted for exposed services which entails detailed co-ordination at the mechanical and electrical installation. Part of the ground and basement floors are to be used as a showroom, this includes the installation of a spiral staircase from ground to basement.
