The Project
Kent House is an iconic Art Deco building located between the busy retail and hospitality hot spots of Oxford Street, Bond Street and Fitzrovia in a tranquil square just a few minutes’ walk from key transport links. It offers stylish spaces and flexible options for businesses looking for a high-specification workplace with stunning original features in the heart of London’s West End.
PBC Scope
PBC was appointed to provide Project Management and Contract Administration services for the 12-week internal refurbishment of level 2 of the building. The works, which were procured under a D&B contract and were carried out by Morgan Lovell, included a complete strip-out following the departure of the previous tenant, the installation of a new mechanical system and a complete refurbishment of the space in keeping with its contemporary design.
New meeting rooms and break-out spaces were created with new surface finishes throughout, and the whole area was sesame® enabled.
Throughout the project the building was tenanted, so care also had to be taken to avoid unnecessary disruption and noise during working hours.
The Flex Fit-Out refurbishment was delivered on programme and ready for the new tenant’s occupation. It also achieved SKA Gold accreditation at completion.
Commenting on the project, PBC Associate Director Jack Dison said:
“This KENT HOUSE refurbishment is definitely one of my favourite projects. The fit-out complemented the style of this stunning building so well, and I am pleased to have been part of the team that delivered this high-quality refurbishment project for our client.”
