PBC Nebula Restaurant, London City Island

The Project

Complete in April, Nebula is a modern spin on a Pizzeria that combines a pizza parlour, bar and restaurant located in Leamouth Peninsula, London.

The customised design was approved in collaboration with the architects Common Ground Workshop, commissioned a unique parallel design that brought the space to life.

PBC Scope

Following a flood in early 2022, PBC was appointed to investigate and rectify the cause of the water ingress to the former Restaurant and Grocer. Water penetration into the fabric resulted in significant strip-out and reinstatement of all surfaces below ceiling level. PBC’s Building Consultancy team was instructed to provide a full CAT B fit-out of the restaurant and appointed Maybank Projects Limited as the main contractor, and Common Ground Architect to design the community-focused space. Due to the time which had elapsed since the original fit-out, most of the original finishes were no longer available, and so PBC worked closely with the project scheme architects to provide comparable finishes along with some improvements to the original design to meet the expectations of the new operator.

We utilised our Matterport 360 Imaging camera to document the flood’s effects and damages and presented the results to our client and appointed Loss Adjusters. Despite facing significant material supply delays, PBC remained proactive in communicating with the client and contractors to ensure that the construction process was managed efficiently, and no time was wasted.
