The Project

Rolling Stock Yard is a landmark development offering 57,600 sqft of contemporary office and light industrial space, developed by Newmark Properties and designed by renowned architect Squire & Partners.  Located just 5 minutes’ walk from Granary Square and Coal Drops Yard near Kings Cross Station, and with a stunning roof terrace that overlooks the City, the eight-storey (plus basement) building is at the heart of the growing cultural centre in Kings Cross.

PBC Scope

Rolling Stock Yard’s exterior design reflects that of the rail tracks that surround its location. Its interiors also echo its heritage of locomotive design, with wood, corrugated metal panels and large glass windows in the double-height reception area, which also features a mezzanine break-out deck.

The upper floors offer stylish industrial and contemporary open-plan office spaces, whilst on the ground floor there is a café, secure storage for over 100 cycles and shower and locker facilities. The roof terrace, with its 360-degree vista, has a patio and seating area for use by tenants and their guests.

PBC was instructed as the Funder’s Development Monitoring Surveyor on behalf of Investec Bank plc, Structured Property Finance Division.  For more information about the development visit www.rollingstockyard.com.
