PBC were the Project Management experts for the Motorway Service Station recently opened in Cobham, Surrey on the M25 – the largest Motorway Services in Europe at 35,000 sq ft, and are specialists in the field.
PBC prepare the feasibility studies, including liaising with statutory and planning authorities, obtaining relevant consents, specifying as appropriate, obtaining tenders, administering the building contract works to completion, issuing all contract instructions, statements for payment and completion certificates.
Development Monitoring works on behalf of a funder and/or purchaser to ensure that quality standards are adhered to throughout the design and construction process.
We appraise and advise on the developer’s proposals, including the proposed project team, contractor, project budget, programme, specification, building contract, any warranties and bonds.
Acting on behalf of occupiers, we advise them on their best strategy for relocation and advise them on Relocation Management. This includes developing the client brief, test-fit, space audit and planning services, budget cost plan and project programming.
Then we manage the fitting out and relocation project for the client through to the handover, including IT commissioning, furniture procurement and client occupation.
We act as the main contact between the client and project delivery team. This includes the selection and monitoring of the project manager and consultants, arranging their appointment and warranties. We ensure that the project design brief, procurement strategy and delivery are tailored to suit the client’s requirements and objectives.
Acting as the client’s agent to ensure that the Building Contract requirements are properly administered where the design and construction is carried out by others, including the issue of all contract instructions, statements for payment and completion certificates.
We undertake Feasibility Studies in order to confirm whether schemes are both commercially and technically viable. We offer a full design service including the production of schematic plans and initial budget costings, along with project programmes, strategy and planning advice.
